Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

Illuminated Innovations (Pty) Ltd, trading as Ruck & Run Rugby, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website.

2. What we collect

When you start checkout we collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Delivery address
• Order details (product, quantity, amount, and order number)
• Payment status and PayFast payment reference (not your full card number)

If you enter these details but do not finish payment, we still keep them as a lead so we can complete or follow up on your order. The site also stores a cart in your browser (local storage) so items stay in the cart if you leave and come back.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to:

• Take payment and fulfil your order
• Email your invoice and order number
• Contact you about delivery
• Follow up if you start checkout but do not finish payment
• Keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting
• Deal with defects, cancellations, and support requests

We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing email unless you separately ask us to.

4. Who we share it with

We only share what is needed for each service to do its job:

• PayFast by Network9 (Pty) Ltd (South Africa). Payment processing. They collect and hold your card details.
• The Courier Guy (South Africa). Delivering your order. They receive your name, phone, and address.
• Supabase Inc. (European Union). Database hosting for order and customer records.
• Resend Inc. (United States). Sending order confirmation and invoice emails.
• Vercel Inc. (United States). Website hosting, server logs, and cookieless visitor analytics (page views, referrers, country, and device).
• TikTok Inc. (United States). Advertising measurement. The TikTok Pixel records page views and purchase events to measure the performance of TikTok ads. TikTok may set cookies or similar technology on your device.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. (United States). Advertising measurement. The Meta Pixel records page views and shopping events to measure the performance of Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta may set cookies or similar technology on your device.

5. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically at least five years. Cart data stays in your browser until you clear it or complete a purchase. Server logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the site.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to the law (for example, we may need to keep an invoice). Email orders@ruckandrunrugby.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

7. Cookies and similar storage

We use browser storage for the cart and site function. Visitor counts and page views are measured with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.

We use the TikTok Pixel to measure the performance of TikTok advertising. If you arrive from a TikTok ad, TikTok may set cookies or similar technology on your device to record that visit and any purchase you complete. See TikTok's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may set cookies or similar technology on your device to record page views, shopping activity, and purchases. See Meta's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

8. Cross-border data transfers

Some of the processors listed in section 4 are based outside South Africa (Supabase in the European Union; Resend, Vercel, TikTok, and Meta in the United States). Sending personal information to these countries is permitted under POPIA where appropriate safeguards are in place. We ensure each processor is bound by contractual obligations to protect your information to a standard comparable to POPIA, and we only share the minimum information each service needs to do its job.
